Sweet Lamb

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/2 kg lamb, round
- 2 onions
- 1 tablespoon nuoc nam, plus
- 4 tablespoons nuoc nam
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons whiskey
- 8 tablespoons sugar (to make liquid caramel)
- 2 small chili peppers
- 1 bunch chives
Recipe
- 1 remove the skin and fat from the lamb (the dish will taste better), cut the lamb into cubes.
- 2 boil water in a pot and add one tablespoonful of nuoc-mam. add the lamb. cook for 30 to 45 minutes. drain the lamb.
- 3 thinly slice the onions and brown in a pan with the lamb, nuoc-mam, soy sauce and whiskey.
- 4 make caramel (cover 8 tablespoons or more of sugar with water and bring to the boil. as soon as the sugar begins to brown add a little water).
- 5 pour the caramel over the lamb and stir.
- 6 sprinkle chopped chives and chili peppers over the dish and serve hot.
