Southwest Lamb Chops

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 teaspoons dried onion flakes
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 6 lamb loin chops, fat removed
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl combine first eight ingredients; rub over lamb chops.
  • 2 place lamb chops in a large resealable plastic bag.
  • 3 in a bowl, combine barbecue sauce and lemon juice.
  • 4 pour over lamb chops and gently run to distribute sauce.
  • 5 refrigerate 1-2 hours.
  • 6 if grilling lamb chops, coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill.
  • 7 grill chops, covered, over medium heat or broil 6 inches from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160.
