Vodka Sauce

Total Time: 22 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 lb bacon, chopped (about 5 strips)
  • 1/3 cup vodka
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter over moderate heat.
  • 2 add bacon and cook until lightly browned.
  • 3 remove pan from heat and add vodka.
  • 4 return to stove and cook until reduced by half.
  • 5 add tomato sauce and cream.
  • 6 simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
