- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 lb bacon, chopped (about 5 strips)
- 1/3 cup vodka
- 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Recipe
- 1 melt butter over moderate heat.
- 2 add bacon and cook until lightly browned.
- 3 remove pan from heat and add vodka.
- 4 return to stove and cook until reduced by half.
- 5 add tomato sauce and cream.
- 6 simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
