Super Lamb Burgers

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 3/4 lb fully cooked boneless smoked ham
  • 3/4 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Recipe

  • 1 drain pineapple and reserve the juice.
  • 2 coarsely chop ham. place ham in food processor bowl, process about 30 seconds or until coarsely ground.
  • 3 in mixing bowl, combine pineapple, ground ham, ground lamb, green pepper.
  • 4 flour and allspice. mix well. shape into six inch thick patties. place patties on unheated rack in broiler pan. broil about 6 inches from heat about 8 minutes.
  • 5 meanwhile, in small saucepan cook pineapple juice over medium heat until reduced by half. brush patties with half of pineapple juice, turn and broil 6 minutes longer. brush patties with remaining pineapple juice.
