Yorkshire Beef Pudding

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 small onion, sliced thin
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (16 ounce) can mixed vegetables
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat with onion.
  • 2 drain grease, except 1 tablespoon.
  • 3 add 2 tablespoon flour, stir in well.
  • 4 add liquid.
  • 5 cook until thick.
  • 6 add vegetables, salt and pepper.
  • 7 (sometimes i stop here and serve.) melt butter in 2 quart casserole.
  • 8 beat eggs in medium bowl.
  • 9 add milk, blend well.
  • 10 add flour and salt, beat until batter is smooth.
  • 11 pour into dish.
  • 12 spoon meat mixture into center of batter to within 1 inch of edge.
  • 13 bake in 425 degree oven for 30 minutes or until puffed and browned.
