Spicy Sesame Spareribs

Ingredients

- 4 lbs lamb spareribs, in serving pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup dry wine
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Recipe
- 1 place lamb, meaty side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
- 2 roast, uncovered in a 325°f oven for 1 1/2 hours.
- 3 mix soy sauce, wine, sesame seeds, oil, sugar, red pepper and garlic in a 1-quart saucepan; heat to boiling.
- 4 mix cornstarch and cold water; gradually stir into soy mixture.
- 5 boil and stir 1 minute.
- 6 brush lamb with soy sauce mixture.
- 7 roast, turning and brushing frequently with sauce, until lamb is done, about 45 minutes.
