Spicy Sesame Spareribs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lbs lamb spareribs, in serving pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry wine
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Recipe

  • 1 place lamb, meaty side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
  • 2 roast, uncovered in a 325°f oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  • 3 mix soy sauce, wine, sesame seeds, oil, sugar, red pepper and garlic in a 1-quart saucepan; heat to boiling.
  • 4 mix cornstarch and cold water; gradually stir into soy mixture.
  • 5 boil and stir 1 minute.
  • 6 brush lamb with soy sauce mixture.
  • 7 roast, turning and brushing frequently with sauce, until lamb is done, about 45 minutes.
