Sweet And Spicy Georgia Ribs

Ingredients

- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup peach preserves
- 1 tablespoon catsup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar or 1/4 cup raspberry vinegar
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 3 -4 lbs lamb ribs
- vegetable oil
Recipe
- 1 combine all ingredients except ribs and oil in a medium saucepan.
- 2 heat to boiling; reduce heat.
- 3 simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- 4 place ribs in shallow glass or ceramic dish and pour sauce of the ribs, reserving about a third for basting.
- 5 let stand covered in fridge for at least 2 hours.
- 6 preheat grill.
- 7 if using charcoal, bank the coals at one end and place a drip pan at the other end.
