Treacle Lamb Chops

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lamb chops (bone-in)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 fennel bulb (chopped)
  • 2 -4 tablespoons treacle

Recipe

  • 1 heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan till warm add the chopped fennel and fry to infuse the oil with the flavor.
  • 2 remove the fennel and set aside.
  • 3 add the lamb chops and sear both sides. then turn down the heat to low and put 1-2 tbs. of the treacle on lamb chop. flip and add the same amount of treacle on this side. cover and let simmer about 20-30 minutes until lamb chops are done. (if you don't have a cover for your pan a piece of tin foil will do.).
  • 4 when the lamb chops are done remove to rest on a plate, turn the heat up to med-high and add the fennel. cook down to a sauce, stirring constantly. serve over the lamb chops immediately.
