- 3/4 lb lean ground beef (at least 80%)
- 3/4 lb ground lamb
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 cup jalapeno jelly (red colored)
- 2/3 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 375°f line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. in large bowl, mix meatball ingredients until well blended. shape 1 1/4" meatballs. place in pan. bake 25 to 30 minutes or until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center.
- 2 in large saucepan, mix sauce ingredients. cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- 3 add meatballs to sauce; stir to coat. cook over medium-low heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot.
