Turkey Ragout With Wine

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 lbs turkey breast, cubed
  • 1 (14 ounce) can plum tomatoes, chopped (do not drain)
  • 1/2 cup dry wine
  • 2 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrot
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 -2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 -4 tablespoons cold water
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except cornstarch, water, salt and pepper in slow cooker. cover and cook 6-8 hours on low.
  • 2 turn heat to high and cook 10 minutes; stir in combined cornstarch and water, stirring 2-3 minutes. season to taste with salt and pepper.
