Sweet And Smoky Meatballs

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper or 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke

Recipe

  • 1 in large bowl, beat eggs.
  • 2 add the next five ingredients.
  • 3 add beef;mix well.
  • 4 shape into balls.
  • 5 place in single layers on ungreased baking pans.
  • 6 bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes or until no longer pink, turning often.
  • 7 drain.
  • 8 place meatballs into an ungreased 1 qt baking dish.
  • 9 combine the sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs.
  • 10 cover and bake at 350 for about 15-30 minutes.
  • 11 stir to cover meatballs evenly with sauce.
