Yakitori

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 bunches scallions, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup sake or 1/4 cup dry wine
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Recipe

  • 1 prepare hot fire. cut chicken into 1 ½ inch cubes.
  • 2 cut scallions into 2 inch lengths, with some green tops.
  • 3 thread 3 or 4 pieces of chicken onto 12 skewers, alternating with pieces of scallion.
  • 4 in a small bowl, mix together remaining ingredients.
