Three Cheese Pockets

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces pepperoni
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons black olives
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 mozzarella string cheese
  • 1 (14 ounce) can pizza dough
  • 3 tablespoons italian dressing

Recipe

  • 1 finely chop the pepperoni. drain and finely chop the mushrooms. finely chop the black olives. combine pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, cream cheese, oregano, garlic powder, 2 tablespoons parmesan, and salt and pepper in medium bowl. stir well.
  • 2 cut each cheese stick into six 1/2 inch pieces.
  • 3 on a floured surface roll out pizza dough to a 12 by 18 inch rectangle. brush dough with 2 tablespoons of italian dressing. cut into 24 equal pieces. place one piece of the mozzrella cheese on each piece and a scant tablespoon of pepperoni mixture. bring all four corners together and pinch to seal. brush with remaining italian dressing and sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese and extra oregano. place about 1 inch apart on baking sheet. heat oven to 375 degrees. bake 15 to 20 minutes. makes 24 appetizers. can be served with warmed pizza or marinara sauce.
