Vegetable Steak

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut in eighths
  • 1 cup celery, cut in 1/4-inch slivers
  • 1 green onion, chopped (include top)
  • 1 tablespoon wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon catsup
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons water

Recipe

  • 1 cut meat into 1/2" thick pieces and place in bowl. mix with soy sauce, salad oil, ginger, sugar, and garlic. let stand for 30 minutes. heat 2 t. oil in skillet and add meat. cook, stirring constantly until brown. add vegetables and cook 5 minutes longer, stirring. blend vinegar and remaining ingredients. add to meat and cook 5 minutes longer.
