Turkey & Black Beans

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 14 ounces petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 14 ounces black beans, drained and rinsed
  • shredded cheese
  • low-fat sour cream
  • olive
  • tortilla (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a large frying pan brown ground turkey & onion.
  • 2 add remaining ingredients, stir and simmer (uncovered) for about 10 - 15 minutes until thickened.
  • 3 serve with shredded cheese, low-fat sour cream, and olives. your family can enjoy the mixture in a tortilla, if desired.
