Spareribs With Black Beans And Chiles

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb spareribs, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon gingerroot, fresh finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fermented black beans (purchase from asian market)
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 bring a large pan or wok of water to a boil over a high heat. add the ribs to blanch.
  • 2 drain the ribs and place in a heatproof bowl with soy sauce, shaoxing wine, and ginger - mix. top with black beans and generous amounts of chili flakes.
  • 3 steam ribs over high heat for 30 minutes or until cooked through.
