Western Bacon-nut Salad

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 4 slices bacon, crumbled
- 1/4-1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, filberts or walnuts)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 head lettuce
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 1/4 cups celery, diced
- 1/4-1/2 cup sliced onion rings
Recipe
- 1 cook bacon until crisp.
- 2 sauté nut meats.
- 3 drain both on paper towels.
- 4 meanwhile, combine sour cream, chili sauce, mustard, salt and pepper.
- 5 arrange greens, tomatoes, celery and onion rings in salad bowl.
- 6 add bacon bits and nut meats.
- 7 toss lightly to blend.
- 8 pour sour cream dressing over all and toss gently.
- 9 additional crisp bacon and sautéed nuts may be passed with salad as accompaniments.
- 10 serves 6.
