Western Lamb Chops

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 4 (1 1/2 lb) center-cut lamb loin chops
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup karo light corn syrup or 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3/4 teaspoon chili powder

Recipe

  • 1 in medium skillet melt margarine over medium heat.
  • 2 add lamb chops; cook until brown on all sides, about 10 minutes. remove chops from skillet.
  • 3 add peppers and onion; cook until tender, about 5 minutes. stir tomato sauce, corn syrup and chili powder into skillet; add chops.
  • 4 simmer, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until lamb chops are tender. if desired, serve over cooked noodles or rice.
