Sweet Chilli Prawn Cakes

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 600 g green prawns (raw)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 fresh lime leaves, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 cups fresh corn flakes, crushed finely
  • 3 tablespoons rice flour
  • oil, for shallow frying
  • extra sweet chili sauce, to serve

Recipe

  • 1 place prawn meat, egg , lime leaves, sweet chili sauce, corn flakes and rice flour in a food processor and process till the mixture is combined, but not smooth.
  • 2 with wet hands, shape the mixture into small cakes.
  • 3 heat enough oil in a frying pan over medium heat to shallow fry.
  • 4 add prawn cakes a few at a time and cook for 3 minutes on each side, or till golden brown.
  • 5 place the cooked prawn cakes on kitchen towels to soak up the excess oil.
  • 6 serve with the extra sweet chili sauce.
